Shore Fishing

Red Drum

Red drum fishing certainly is one of my favorites, they put up a great fight and can grow really large (the world record is 94 lb and was caught in NC). The Carolinas offer some of the best redfish fishing on the planet! Click here to check out our redfish fishing playlist.

Spanish Mackerel

There's nothing like watching a school of Spanish mackerel chasing your Got-Cha lure on topwater! Spanish mackerel fishing is some of my personal favorite. Click here to check out our Spanish mackerel fishing playlist!

Flounder

The Carolinas offer a great flounder fishery! Not many shore fish beat a fresh flounder on the plate. Click here to check out our flounder fishing playlist!

Sheepshead

Sheepshead - one of the toughest fish you will run into on the Carolina shores! Grab a crustacean and some sharp hooks and drop it by some structure and hold on! Click here to check out our sheepshead fishing playlist.

Pompano

Pompano is another great fighting fish and an even better table fare. Pompano fishing in the Carolinas can be tricky to get a hang of but they are here in great numbers! Click here to check out our pompano fishing playlist.

King Mackerel

The Carolinas have a great King Mackerel fishery to offer. Kings can be caught from the piers and jetties or even trolling nearshore. Click here to check out our King Mackerel fishing playlist.

Trout

During our winter months, trout fishing really picks up in the Carolinas. Trout can be found just about anywhere including piers, jetties, and inshore. Speckled Trout and Grey Trout can be caught in the Carolinas. Click here to check out our trout fishing playlist!

Black Drum

Black drum are another plentiful fish of the Carolinas and just like their cousin - the red drum - they can get to huge sizes (the world record is 113 lb) and put up a hard fight. There isn't much a black drum won't eat and not many waters you won't find them in. Click here to check out our black drum fishing playlist!

Whiting (Sea Mullet)

Just like drum, whiting is another great fighting fish! While they don't get as large as drum, Whiting can still get to pretty good sizes and taste great. Click here to see our whiting fishing playlist.

Ribbonfish (Cutlass Fish)

With a strikingly bright silver appearance and viciously sharp teeth, ribbonfish can surely turn some heads. The ribbonfish fishing can be great in the summer months in the Carolinas from piers and jetties. Ribbonfish is a highly popular menu item in Japan and has firm white meat - just be sure to scrape off the silver skin for a better taste! It even makes a great bait. We've caught trout, flounder, and stingrays using ribbonfish just to name a few. Click here to check out our ribbonfish fishin

Northern Pufferfish

Often confused for its deadly cousins, the Northern Pufferfish is a seasonal pufferfish that can be safely and easily prepared for a delicious meal! Click here to check out our pufferfish fishing playlist.

Bluefish

The bluefish don't really get too big in the Carolinas anymore but they sure are plentiful. Vicious feeders like the mackerel, bluefish can be caught most of the year in the Carolinas. Click here to check out our bluefish fishing playlist.

Bonita and Bonito

Bonito - the one that tastes good - and Bonita - a better bait than table fare - can both sometimes be caught as close as the piers and jetties in the Carolinas. They offer a great fight and definitely satisfy a fisherman's tug joy. Click here to check out our Bonito/Bonita fishing playlist.

Sharks

There are a great number of sharks that frequent the Carolinas, and some large ones at that. Click here to check out our shark fishing playlist and remember to be safe and use good practices.

Stingray

Many species of stingrays live in and visit the Carolinas. Click here to check out our stingray fishing playlist.
